I first saw this piece in Bruce Frank’s new object offerings in November 2022 and was immediately drawn to it, but it had already sold by the time I inquired. Early in 2023, Joaquin Pecci posted it on Instagram, and it later appeared in the online expo God Save the Queens. I often thought about it afterward and regretted not moving faster when it first surfaced.

Then it reappeared in the Tribal Art Society catalog from Louis Nierijnck. I didn’t hesitate this time and reached out right away and now I can enjoy looking at it daily. The piece has passed through several hands since 2022, but I plan to hold onto it for a while.
